About the Brewer

Samuel Adams brewing company is owned and operated by the Koch family. Jim Koch’s father, Charles, was a fifth-generation brewer who eventually left the business during the prohibition era. However, he hid the family recipes in the attic. After a promising career in management consulting, Jim Koch left that field in 1984 with an eye on the beer-brewing business. Today, Samuel Adams is a team of 1200 people and has breweries in Boston, Cincinnati, and Pennsylvania. Sam Adams beers are available in all 50 states and more than 20 foreign countries! They have over 50 different beers suitable for all tastes and desires!
