About the Brewer

Samuel Adams brewing company is owned and operated by the Koch family. Jim Koch’s father, Charles, was a fifth-generation brewer who eventually left the business during the prohibition era but kept the family recipes hidden away in the attic. After a promising career in management consulting, Jim Koch left his career in 1984 and eyed in on beer brewing business.  Today, Samuel Adams is a team of 1200 people and have breweries in Boston, Cincinnati, and Pennsylvania. Sam Adams beers are available in all 50 state, and more than 20 foreign counties! They have over 50 different beers suitable for all tastes and desires!

 

About the Beer

Sam Adams Winter Lager is German influenced and designed to make feel warm on a cold winter night. Spiced with cinnamon, ginger, and orange peel for a deep flavor and malty finish, this lager is a delight for the winter months. Pours a clear dark brown one-inch foamy head and a slight bitterness with each sip that quickly fades away. It is an overall great seasonal beer.
